When can waste charges be reduced?

Relief for time away depends on documented eligibility.

What to do

1. For over 90 days away, the ordinance provides a 50% reduction for specified work and study situations (§ 23(3–4)).
2. Residence in a social-care facility can qualify for a waiver for the relevant period (§ 23(5–6)).
3. Provide the required evidence. A declaration alone is insufficient; older arrears must also be settled.
